A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to take a 7-night-trip with my family to Walt Disney Wold in Orlando, Florida. While it seems that this post may be a little past due, I specifically waited on to write this as I allowed the experience to set in. Today I’m happy to share with you a few of the lessons I learned about life and business from our magical experience at Disney World.

Life Lessons

Creating memories. As soon as I stepped foot off the plane I knew we were in the midst of creating life-long memories. Our two year old won’t remember the details of this trip, but through pictures we’ll all be able to re-live the amazing time we had. And this holds true on a day to day basis…it doesn’t take a vacation to create lasting memories,  the vacation just sweetens the deal…

Last Thursday I concluded my service with my biggest client that I’ve been working with for the past two years.

side note: I’m not self-employed, but I manage my career in the corporate space as an entrepreneurs manages their business. My employer is my client. Sounds a little strange/different – but this is my approach. [More on this in the future]

This past Monday I started a new assignment with a new client (new employer). In short, my new job is at a company that manages the process of migrating companies from Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes to the Google Cloud / Google Apps for Business

Can you walk into a crowd and immediately stand out because you play your own game, and you play it well? Are you the person that shines out from the crowd, because whilst they’re ‘bustling’, you’re ‘hustling’?

Everyone knows the ‘crowd mentality’ – do things the same way, blame each other, shy away from standing out for fear of being scorned. It’s easy to spot a crowd when you’re standing outside that crowd. But when you’re inside the crowd, it’s a lot harder to stand out, it’s a lot harder to be different and still keep shining…
